About

About Huge Brands

Founded in Salt Lake City in 1992, Huge Inc. has established itself as a design innovator in the resort industry. With a laid back style and sense of humor inspired by street, surf, skate, ski, and board cultures their approach to apparel driven art has set an industry benchmark. Their design work and influence can be seen in resorts and national parks from Monterey to Maine and from Canada to Bonaire. By fostering a culture of design, adaptability, and integrity we have created opportunities leading to corporate branding for the US Ski and Snowboard Teams, The Utah Museum of Natural History, Sundance Resort, and many more.

With his clean modern style and unique design approach, he quickly rose through the ranks of the Advertising world garnering accolades and design awards including Print Magazine, Communication Arts, The One Show & numerous Addy Awards both local and national. Within a few years, suffering from what he sights as a nomadic and restless soul, he moved to Breckenridge Colorado to pursue a more leisurely career as a snowboarder (i.e. ski bum), where he met his friend and business partner of 20 plus years, Rob Worthington. Together they founded huge Inc. in Salt Lake City in 1992 and quickly established huge as a design innovator in a staid resort industry, with a laid back style & sense of humor inspired by street, surf & skate culture that has become an industry benchmark. John’s design work & infuence can be seen in resorts from the intermountain west to the east coast, to the custom designs & branding for the US Ski & Snowboarding Teams, The Utah Museum of Natural History & more.

John is also a painter, sculptor & nationally emerging artist who’s work explores multiple movements of contemporary art all at once, creating a hallmark painting style that comments broadly on sociopolitical issues, the impact of social media, and the ever-fluctuating values of contemporary culture. Bell, lauded as an “indiscriminate genre-blender” fuses abstract expressionism, geometric abstraction, pop art and many other artistic styles. He employs recurring images of iconic popular culture, snippets of news feeds, and social media references set against a brightly hued color palette, hard-edge, tense geometric lines and ethereal back drops. Trace Worthington

Trace Worthington – Senior Vice President

Trace brings 18-years of business experience to huge. He is best known outside of his entrepreneurships as an Olympic freestyle skier who still remains the most decorated male U.S. freestyle skier of all time and was recently inducted into the U.S. Ski Hall of Fame. Trace is also recognized as a prominent sports commentator for network television, which has included the Olympics, freestyle skiing, snowboarding, X-games, and celebrity ski classics.

After building a successful entertainment company (Flying Ace Productions) with long time friend and fellow Olympian, Fuzz Feddersen, Trace’s latest project was working with the U.S. Ski and Snowboard team as Vice President of Fundraising where he was responsible for raising over $5 million in private funds annually for the nation’s top skiers and boarders.

“Not only does Trace have an incredible understanding of the lifestyle & clientele we serve, he has built an amazing brand for himself over the years. Trace is also one of the original investors in huge, so bringing him on board feels as though we are coming full circle. We are excited to bring his knowledge, leadership, and energy into our company as we look at fresh opportunities for growth” - John Bell – Contact: trace@hugesport.com

James Brown – Vice President / Sales

After finishing college in the late 80’s, James spent 8 years in Colorado while on recess with his brother (riding powder, performing and promoting music, riding powder). In 1996 he was reacquainted with his old friends Rob and John, also former Breckenridge denizens, whose hot business was bursting at the seams. They were in need of a good right hand man, and he was in need of a shot at a career that would not be judged by the amount of beer spilled on the floor at the end of the night. What he initially thought would be a few years in Salt Lake City has turned into a move that’s changed his life’s path in a big way. So the degree on the wall says “Social Studies Teacher”, but his daily work regimen says “Fill the UPS Truck”.
What James cherishes most is time with his family (partner Jenn and their son Griffin). They feel fortunate to live in a playground of a state, so they get outside every chance they can get. Together they ski, snowboard, snowshoe, hike, bike, camp, fish, skateboard; just about anything to do with clean air and an elevated heart rate.
